I have a Ford Courier van. The headlights seem to have packed in without any warning. The side lights and full beam work fine but no main beam! I had to drive home in full beam with everyone flashing at me. I wish I had asign on the car saying............I know, I Fuc$ing know.

I can't imagine it's the bulbs, not with both going at the same time. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Fuse....

check the manual, you probably had one light blow (dipped beam) taking the fuse out..

Might need to change the faulty bulb and the fuse..

I had that on Vauxhall I had.
Both bulbs went, without knocking out the fuse.
I suppose one went, sudden current increase blew the other maybe.

Check fuse, check bulbs.... think they are H4s in Fiestas?
Remember not to touch the actual glass bulb itself with your fingers.

They usually work via a relay.

The fuses seem okay. I'll buy new bulbs tomorrow.

Might be the dip/full switch, as these sometimes burn, but rarely in a vehicle designed to use halogens. While you are at it make sure the headlights have a GOOD earth. As others have suggested might also be the relay, or feed to the coil.

Don't forget folks. Just a reminder NEVER touch the glass of Halogen bulbs when fitting.
