| I'm wondering if I might have introduced air into the system ? |

you should bled the rads when the timer is off, so pump is not in operation.
doesn;t matter if hot or cold. _________________ www.hintonheating.com

Thanks Hinton, I think I'll empty and refill then bleed correctly this time. |

I'll add one comment - do it cold (or cooled down a bit) and you won't get scalding hot water coming out at you once the air is gone! _________________ I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, "Where's the self-help section?"

| Thanks, I did try and bleed the rads a couple of days ago but they all seemed fine, it's just that sometimes I can hear vibration in one of the pipes that runs under one of the bedroom floorboards, I wondered if it might be air ? |

OK I'll let it cool down then try and bleed it again, I suspect that I won't get lucky and find air . . . but it's worth a go.
Thanks again for the advice. |

as i said before, the more you drain it, the more limescale you add.
also it may take a while to settle after refilling.. _________________ www.hintonheating.com

Got it, I hadn't considered that until you mentioned it. Thanks very much. |
