I am on my second estwing b ut this one isn't leather handle. First one was but when it started going pete tong I would get fingers pinched everytime I hit something with it lol. leather handles are ok as long as they are intact.

I use a Homebase Essentials claw hammer. Only hammer i've ever bought, I'm just waiting for it to break so that I can spend a bit more than 99p on my next one. But no signs of failure yet :)

It's only had about 10 years of DIY abuse.

(And the reason it's from homebase is I'd walk past it on my way home from work when i'd bought my first house)

im on my 2nd estwing. 20 oz with the blue handle.

first one i bought 2nd hand from a lad i was working with when i was a youngun. the handle had gone smooth and hard (steady on lol)

anyways some bloody plasterer pinched it. i went out and got another one and after a while the handle on that has worn smooth.

i like em. i used to have a stanley anti vibe hammer but i much prefer the estwing.

oh and btw i worked with the plasterer again about 6 months later. i found my very rusty estwing in his bucket so pinched it back lol.
