our Nicole did one of those award things recently and she walked 30 miles with heavy back pack on in one day, so it should be quite possible in a couple of days or 3 to make it easier for your young one Lou.

The Devon and Dorset coast path is a nice walk

Sea air, sunshine and a couple of hills

The Hadrians wall path is very up and down. For much of the centre section the wall sits on a raised mound about 20 - 30 feet high, which is fine except that there are numerous places where farmers have cut through the mound for access to land on the other side.

It's pretty hard going in places when you're constantly dropping off and re-climbing the mound. I wouldn't aim at anything more than 20 miles in a day - possibly less with a kiddy along.
