I've just made up an eBay ad to sell the wife's first Mobility scooter.

I've bought plenty on eBay but this will be my first attempt at selling something.

I'll let you know if I get any real retards - I definitely had a couple selling the car on Autotrader.

Do you still get those people wanting to sell your car for you on Autotrader?

.

I had one who wanted to sell it on for himself and offered me a silly amount, and another couple of idiiots.

Below is what I wrote in another topic referring to selling my car:-

Quote:
I had a few strange phone calls - first one from Yorkshire, a four hour drive to get to me, but my car is too expensive - oh right, so there's nothing you want that's closer than a four hour drive and it's too expensive - take it or leave it mate.

Next one wanted to know how much legroom in the back and would his growing kids fit in there cos he's downsizing from an X5 - how the hell am I supposed to know, I've never sat in the bloody back.

The next one phoned when I was out and spoke to the wife, she told him what a nice car it was etc etc - "I'm not interested in all that he says, I won't have it for long" - he offered £4,400 (for sale at £5250) - yeah Okay, I'll take a big hit and you sell it on for £4750 - F*** O**.

I remember reading that. Chancers.
I don't mind people just making an offer, I can say yea or nay, but I don't want the tyre kicking and time wasting that goes with it, when they think they can "negotiate"

Last month I sold an oldish Sovereign strimmer I had sitting in my shed for a tenner. About an hour later the guy text me saying it wouldn't work. It turns out he thought the movement of the air cut the grass and didn't realise you had to put wire in it

For some reason he wasn't happy so I couldn't be arsed arguing over a tenner so I asked his address and I'd drop his money off. He never replied until last week asking where his tenner was. Obviously he wants his money back after using it a few times.

I just ignored him.
