Totally agree BobProperty, extreme care is required.

Mind you, it got the job done after weeks of trying other methods. As long as you cover all chrome fittings, wear rubber gloves, have plenty of ventilation and don't thrash the stuff about it works really well.

Unfortunately, I couldn't completely cover a chrome towel rail as I needed to clean behind it and, although I didn't get any liquid on it, the vapour in the air attacked it leaving it pitted with black marks. So the process wasn't totally without problems (metal ladders copped it too!).

Still it looks nice now and me and the wife had our first bath together in our new tub this week with champagne and strawberries as well! Worth all the effort I'd say!!
