Hi I have the above boiler http://vaillantgroup.intelliresponse.com/glowworm/index.jsp and am having a strange problem. It has preheat which appears to use a fair bit of gas. I tried to turn this off on the temperature dial which shows a tap with no pre-heat and a tap with pre-heat.

The problem is when I turn it to no pre-heat I cannot get the water above 42degC from the tap, even if it runs for ages. If I put it to the preheat section it goes all the way up to around 65degC if I need it.

I noticed on http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/ultracom-38cxi-runs-through-the-night-t57246.html they talk about turning off D74 but thats an ultracom one. Anyone know how I do this on my one or why the temperature on the no preheat would not be getting up to a high enough temperature, has the PCB gone wrong or a thermistor etc. etc.

Any help much appreciated.

David
