Had British gas in to service gas fire. The fitter informed me that the size of flue in the brickwork at the rear of the fire did not come within the Regulation. He said it was too small one way. Would any of you kind Forum Members be able to help, Re correct size.
Many Thanks |

exactly what did he write on the NCS (Not to Current Standards) report??
Did he turn the fire off?
If you dont understand, you should ring British Gas to explain.
Do you mean the distance from the flue to an obstruction, is too small? _________________ www.hintonheating.com

ok, i know what he means... basically the crossectional area of the chinmey is too small, meaning that the amount of fumes may not get drawn up properly.
Do you have the instructions for the fire? it may give a minium size in there. _________________ www.hintonheating.com
