Hi folks I’m about to run the cable up to the garage, and was a bit concerned about poking it up through the damp proof membrane as I’m ready to concrete the floor.will this introduce damp into the garage.

Tiny hole like that won't make any difference, I am sure there are plenty more small holes in the DPM from when it was laid.

Ideally, it should be a conduit, so if you need to change it you can easily pull it out.

Which is correct? Metre or Meter? Click the link to find out more.

Working on anything electrical? have you got a multi meter? why not? Would you hit a nail with a shoe?

I agree, except to say that it should be flexible trunking type conduit, in a gentle curve, not neccessarily rigid conduit.

Then you could squirt a small amount of construction foam down the sides from the top.

50mm flex comes on big rolls from S/Fix but you may be able to get a metre or two length off ebay.

I think you may mean SWA cable, as w is next to e on a keyboard, mods may consider editting the title.
