Notices water dripping from the top of my downstairs window when we had heavy rain recently, upon investigation today i have found the the window above has a large gap under the window which is obviously letting water in that runs down the cavity and leaks through the top of the downstairs window.

Question is what’s the best way to fill this gap? We will be replacing the windows later this year anyway but want something to stop water getting in for now. Thanks

The plastic cill is missing. Get a length of plastic cill and cut to length and silicone it in. This’ll do until you replace the windows.
