I wish to replace the arm on a Franke Davos mixer tap. The arm appears to be fitted as a straight pull-push fit. There is no grubscrew at the back and the replacement arm base is perferctly symmetrical so there does not appear to be any need to position the arm in any particular way in order for it to pull out. There are two rubber seal rings at the base of the arm. I can pull the arm out so as to reveal the first rubber ring however it will not comer out any further. I have heaved on it as much as I can but I am somewhat wary of dmaging the "under-sink" fittings if I heave too much. I have tried positioning the arm at all sorts of angles but nothing seems to have any affect. Can anyone suggest anything else I might try?, or is there something that I have not understood? Thanks in anticipation

I looked up the manual for your tap earlier at the Franke site (PDF file). Have you found it? It appears to show 3 rings in total ... so my guess is that it will require a sufficient pull each time a ring has to go passed its normal position.
(perhaps the top of the 3 rings is a just a plastic spacer ... can't tell).
There is also a Davos J model but I guess that is now what you have.
Sorry not much help.
