Sounds like you have a chipboard floating floor
Posible reason for the creaking
The chipboard is rubbing against something like the door frames
Try and create a gap
They may have nailed the door frames to the floor and they have worked loose
Refix with screws
Look over the chipboard floor for any sign of nails sometimes they nailed
the chipboard to 50mm x 50mm battens with the polystyrene betwwen
Refix with screws, but put the screws right next to a nail so
as not to hit any pipes or cables
Hope thats of some help _________________ Tony Tiger |
