Have they laid the pavers on top of the existing drive?

How much did they pay for the work?

There are a few things that could have been better, but at least the pavers look level!

The Aco drain looks a mess as do the drainage gulley's and that man hole cover could be a lot better.

If its work done for a HA then it's cosmetically fairly good but will last about 5 minutes longer than the contract is is for, we are having big problems here with work done, from the outside it looks alright but it's a bodge it and cover up job with PVC covering rotten wood work and possibly structural members.

Existing drive was dug up and added Mot stones added and then sharp sand, I am not sure how deep may be around 50mm to 100mm and sharp sand may be 50mm and whacker plate used. Where the car is parked this is the area it has been dug up and added the mot stones and sharp sand.

Then the flags laid by sharp sand and cement mixed and then flags laid butted together with other flags, so No pointing between the flags.

The side flagged was already tarmaced, so they laid flags on top of this, so No mot stones used.

They charged labour £1500 for flags and side fencing.

They were not going to put the concrete gutter, as thier intention was to fill it with chipping stones, but the house owner insisted in putting the concrete drains, as it was running slope down towards the house and they did not wanted the water hitting the brickwork first, so any rain water runs it would drain into the drains and from the side of the flags.

They messed up on the aco gutter and the some of the drainage gully area not finished well, as they could not be bothered anymore, wanted to finished the job. They should of cut the pipe and placed a shoe ,so the rain water would of drained into to aco gutter.
