Hi other than shot firing what is the best way to fix a 100x47 timber to the top of a steel beam?, can self tapping screws be used?
Thanks |

| hi rob, what is the timber going to do? if it is not too heavy you could stick it on with gripfil or a polyurethane glue. |

Coach bolts, stagered along the flange is usually what we are asked to drill for. _________________ Why isn't the number 11 pronounced onety one? |

I thought to save height the joists went inside the RSJ at right angles. _________________ Stella Stella Stella oy oy oy |

The beam is a shallow PFC so cant cut joists into one side of it and otherside is a bit shallow so better to use c16 timber, even with this on top PFC wont be deeper than Joist.
