Hello!

I'm not too great with DIY etc...so don't laugh! I was really scared to take the nasty wallpaper down in our house because of what I was going to uncover, but thankfully it doesn't seem that bad. The only issues is in the corner between the door frame and the wall. The plaster is loose, and a bit crumbly, but really I want to know the quickest, cheapest way to fix it. Because it's only a tiny bit in the room, I don't want to end up spending much money on it - but I also don't want to make a right mess of it either. I have attached a picture of the problem area.

Thank you :-)

Difficult to tell the full story looking at that pic...any chance of another pic from further back and square(ish) on to the wall?

make good with easifill, then heavyweight lining paper, followed by decorators caulk in the internal corner. Plasterers will do it properly, but most people would be better off using decorating techniques than trying their hand at skimming
