Bit of a novice so please bear with me.

Removed some tiles from kitchen wall and have been left with two similar but slightly different problems

1) hole in plasterboard - understand best way to fill this is to get na off-cut in the cavity so it just covers from behind the hole and then re-fill...question is should i just use normal filler for this. Someone mentioned 'bonding' to me not sure what this is of if suitbale.

2) So areas, although not complete holes, are pretty badly busted. Not sure if ts best to cut out and go through steps for problem one, of there is a product that effectively re-plasters the plasterboard....(maybe this onding stuff Confused: )

cheers in advance for any help...

(where's the best place to go for an off cut of plaster board. ) Wink

Hi danm123, you didnt say what you wanted to achive with the final outcome, at a guess skim the wall or tile?
1) put some p/b off cut behind hole and stick it with no nails or some multi, when stuck fill with bonding, scrim
2) next pva the hole and fill with bonding and scrim, when firm skim the wall or tile when dry Thumbright
Hope that helps

Bonding is undercoat plaster and is mor economical and easier to use on large areas than filler.

These pages should help Wink

If you use bonding you need to make sure it is shy of the surface by a couple of mm so that you can finish off with finishing plaster.

That would probably be the best option as it's much easier then trying to patch Wink

(not sure about where to get off cuts from, unless there are any builders working in your area. You can get a small sheet from the sheds for a couple of quid!)

cheers guys

1) Understood

2) so if i understand right, i go over all the busted area with PVA (this is just the white glue right?and not something else with the same anachronym)...then when dry use the same bonding that i used to fix hole 1)

both areas are going to be tiled so finish not important
