Im 18 and currently in college training to be a Bricklayer, hoping to more onto Level 2 then 3 the following year. Office job isn't for me, i need to be doing something with my hands so i decided id give BrickLaying ago and im glad i did! Best thing i have decided to do, really enjoy it and hopefully ill be successful.

Anyway here is my Flemish Bond Garden Wall. First one i have built. I have been Bricklaying for about 40 Days. Was told its really good for the amount of time i have been there.

Ok its not 100% Plumb, very very slightly out on a few sides but we all start somewhere.. Over time ill improve.

What do you think?

Ben

:thumbright:

I like it well done! I can lay blocks but the bricks you need patience and a better eye I think. What is it you've done at the ends, where say the second course gets to the end, is it a cut brick or one on end?

haha No, 40 days is just how long i have been on the course. 3 Days a week with 2 hours in the workshop a day.

Took me 3 days which im not sure if its good or not but ill improve on my speed.

Cheers mate, Ben

Nice job for the time you have been there.

Don't worry about speed as that will come in time and with practice.

Just been doing some brickwork, myself, today. All because the pr**k of a surveyor couldn't read a tape correctly. You have that to look forward too lol
