I have a new Pc that my Uncle put together. When I received it, the computer had kerio personal firewall on it. I would like to get rid of it but I do not know how. I have tried to go to the control panel and went to the add and remove section...but when I highlighted the kerio it said that I cannot delete this program. Is there another was to get rid of it???

never heard of that one before, google is you friend.

If you go into you C: drive and look in program files or program files (x86) and find kerio, you will find either a uninstall manager or a unins000.exe file (right click run as administrator)

If your savvy Try the Regedit command (Windows key+R)- find - kerio -delete all parts then press F3 to search further in reg.
if your careful it will be removed from your system :-)

Regedit is the best way to totally screw up your machine and best left alone unless you know what you're doing.

Most AV programs refuse to unload if they are still running. Find the icon ion the tray and see if you can 'stop' it (they often have such facilities to allow you to install software etc) then try deleting it.

Alternatively, using ALT-CTRL-DEL you can bring up task manager and find the running process and stop it there.
