it could have been made in the 30s .
you would be able to tell straight away if its old or not went it taken out .
because the newer ones have dates in the back .
one i brought form my bedroom is dated 1936 and looks victorian .
and to get the best price for it on ebay i'd take it out 1st so its ready for collection .
the fittings under the shelf look like it could be at least that old .
and if i was selling it i would want at least £130 for it .
one question though, why would you get rid of it

Well, you are probably all going to be disappointed, I sold the fireplace for £51 on ebay but to be honest we were just glad to get rid of it and the guy who bought it seemed really nice so I'm sure it's gone to a good home.
We had to get rid of it because we now have a breakfast bar where it was :) |
