as a follow up of my thread in the building forum about my spider filled workshop, ive decided to stop being a wuss and get in there and fill gaps, dehumidify and get the place useable.
the walls of the workshop have been drylined with direct bond and the roof also has plasterboard covering. there is a 2-3 inch gap between the roof plaster and the wall plaster. as the room is about 30x8 going around with a little tub of B&Q filler looks like it might take a bit too long! is there a mmethod i can adopt for this job that might be a bit quicker and heavy duty?! |

Hi iainiow,
you could fill with sand and cement then run some skirting/architrave around the ceiling line, to give it a better finish.
Why is there a gap? _________________ What was the best thing before sliced bread? |

| aye get some coving up there, standard gypsum coving will cover, other wise fill the linier metres with bonding and patch it into the existing wiv finish. |

I would do the same, Ive done jobs where the customer has overboarded their own ceiling and its crap cos of the gaps all the way round the edge.
So tell them i'll cove it For £150! Its a easy fix if you like coving |

Thats cheap lufc. By the time you take out your mats - coving £15 and adhesive £5 and tax your left with £65ish.
Hope your paying your tax |
