|
|
|
Hello, I've just chased 2 channels in the bathroom wall so I can bring pipes down from the loft for a new shower.
I plan in filling in the channels to bury the copper pipes before I tile over the lot and was wondering what would be the best filler to use?
I thought about quick drying cement (I would prefer something quick drying one so I can get on with the tiling) but I'm not sure how well this will get on with the pipes.
Thanks for any help. |

Hi Danny,
You need to protect the pipes from any filler, why not fill out with foam and leave a few milli shallow, then fill the rest with EasyFill 45.
You'll be able to tile within an hour or so depending on the conditions.

Thanks Jaeger. Sorry I don't have any pics, The 15mm pipes just go from the loft down 2 channels about 15cm apart and have a wall elbow plate that is screwed into the wall at the bottom so I can connect the pipes to a shower mixer.
I didn't think of foam (can you recommend what type?), leaving a couple of mill gap then going over it with the tile adhesive sounds probably easiest. |
