Coat rack. All from Solid oak.
Bit dissapointed with the side bracket wood on the right hand side, seems a bit paler once it had been waxed up.

Painted peg rack and shelf.

A quick knockup with a few bits of softwood, and some birch pegs.(I bought the pegs)

Painted up then aged with a bit of fine sandpaper.

Not wooden, but who cares.

Simple decorative armilary sphere, one or two members probably have one of these with a wrist strap from when they were youngsters.

Not finished yet, i think it will go in black powdercoat with gold pointer tip and tail and centre.

Its roughly 12" diameter.

Its rare that i get a decent spell out in the garage, thats why its all bits and bobs normally, little projects that i can pickup and do 15mins on and put down again.

Some very nice pieces there Hitch. I used to love making the coat racks and spice shelves when I was a hobbyist. I never seem to get asked to make anything like that now?

Keep practising with the metal working as you seem to be getting there.

I wouldn't worry about the difference in shade on the oak. It is natural and all part of the charm.

Some more nice bits there, should get a portfolio up and running on ebay and offer them made to order.

Pointing looks nice on the wall.

I list a few of the bits on ebay now and then, started a little shop on Folksy too, but that doesnt get enough traffic to sell anything really.

I normally have the stuff kicking around, then let it go far too cheap just to get it out of my hair
