hi just changed prv on this boiler,
refilled system and bled rads, when switched on fires for about 15 secs then shuts down and low pressure light flashes, but still shows 1 bar on gauge... the auto vent valve on pump is loose, but may still be air in boiler, also not sure if expasion tank is pressured or if it will affect operation Bang Head
anyone got a clue??
Thanks.

the boiler is designed for sealed systems only and must NOT be used on open vented systems.

Explain expansion tank

hi, have checked presure in expansion tank and is sitting at 18lbs psi,
also system is sitting at 1.5 bar and boiler, pump and rads. are all vented free of air.
Could this be a problem with the circuit board telling the boiler to go into safe mode....
The water side is now as it should be but after firing boiler it still cuts off after about 10 seconds and the low pressure warnig light starts to flash Help

Stevie, there's two things wrong with your boiler, the water pressure switch and a DIYer playing with it.

The expansion vessel should be pre-charged to 1bar with the system empty, it has nothing to do with boiler pressure, other than to take up the expansion.

Why did you change the PRV,

Are the led5 flashing.

Check the wiring to the pressure switch and change the switch if its ok.
