Question more from interest then a problem ....

Had the fun weather here last night and about 5 power cuts in a 10 minute period about 1am.

The boiler didn't seem to like this and when we found no CH this morning, looked at boiler and it had an Error Code of "99 F"

now the "F" is for Fail, but the 99 is not listed in the manual. Any ideas?

I power-cycled the boiler and it started up fine, so like I said, just curious Laughing

If you had a storm and lost power a few time it would pick up as a power problem if it was going through the purge cycle.

If the mains took a belt it could also show an earth fault. Worth checking the earth out anyway.

If you need any help give Dan Robinson a call 077757 31339.

mention john thescruff though

thanks

The way the power kept coming on and off, I am not surprised it got confused. All the power went each time, including the street lights, so no direct 'hit' on my specific supply, just an outage.

Out of interest, if a boiler - or any other device for that matter - was buggered up by these kind of recurrent fast outages, would the power company (supplier or grid) be liable for repair?
