Anyone got any ideas. I had a pump fitted four years ago and 3.0 bar monsoon, however the element kept burning out. I had a plumber put in a new emmersion and then it kept tripping. He went back and put in a new heater. According to the tenants it tripped again so I had an electrician go in and he replaced all the wiring, it still kept tripping so I had another electriacian go on and he could find nothing wrong. I then had the plumber go in and could not find any wrong either. I have now had the pump changed to a 1.5 bar and the tenants are telling me that it still trips. Any suggetions!! so far I have had two electricians in and three different plumbers in two twice making a total of 5 times. The tank is only a 35 litre tank and the cold water tank is small! Any ideas would be much appreciated ::b

I hasten to add that I have posted about this topic before when the emersion heater kept buring out. It was find far a whole but now I have a couple in the flat and they say it keeps tripping, but seems to trip during the day when they are not there rather then during the night! :dunno:

pictures would be lovely as im not sure what im looking at in terms of type of cylinder and why the pump would effect the element burning out

I would suggest that the size of the tank is the problem..the pump will empty the tank in about 3 minutes (Or less) and the small header tank won't be refilling it quickly enough...the result?
Air in the immersion causing the overheat stat to trip.

Not yet: you have to attach the file/s to the post after you have uploaded them.

Just below the browse (your computer) button is *add the file* then you need to use the button just below the reply box *place inline*

Here's one I made earlier.

What a lovely photograph! you should be a photographer!

No I couldnt upload as they have got too may pixels. I have to reduce the size somehow so am just looking for ways to do that. I thought I could upload them by using a PDF but it uploaded my entire photographic file!! so I had to canx it. I will be back later though with proper photographs - hopefully! :downtown:

To resize ...right click on the pic, select "open with" then from the additional menu "Paint"

Top left of the screen "re size"...then click on Pixels, enter a value of 1200 in the first box, the second box will change automatically..

click save...

Ah you are an artist really than. The pot is lovely too!

Well I have managed to cut the photographs down but the problem is it is now only showing part of the photograph!! Still it is great to know how to do that. I have sent an email to a friend to ask her how she had uploaded her photographs to me to see if she can offer any more advice as I am getting desperate. But thank you for all you replies guys you are lovely  I shall be back when I know how to upload the full photograph :help:

Sorry, completely forgot about this thread after adding your pics...is the Immersion tripping when the shower is in use or just at random???

Edit...and is it the overheat stat on the immersion element tripping, or the MCB/Rcd at the consumer unit (Aka Fuseboard) ?
