After a year of meddling with the bike engine i thought it best to see if my efforts have paid off
Standard Yamaha XJR1300 from the factoty is 105 BHP

now its 116.43 BHP :huray:,so whats been done to achieve this
bigger inlet rubbers from a FJ1200
K&N air filter
4 degree ignition advancer
free flowing exhausts
just need to look at the fueling as it runs a little lean in the mid range,so I think that will be just a case of lifting the Carb needles one notch.I'll give that a try and then take it back for another Dyno run

How much is it to get Dyno'd?

Good results!

Would love to know what my R1 is cranking out.....just need to sort out a problem first though (as ALWAYS). That's a summer job though....

Do you ride all year? I always garage mine around this time after I smashed up a previous bike on black ice. Expensive mistake, but it gave the local fire brigade a brillant laugh.

Good skills. Just been on a dyno day with my car (1992 VW Corrado G60). Been a project of mine over the last few years now. Out the factory it is 160bhp. Now it's 250bhp, and a lot of fun :-) , all out of a 1.9l 8v engine (albeit supercharged).

I've still got my urban tiger blade but I never get time to ride it

I always used to be a Yammy boy. Fizzies first then Elsies which ended up with a disastrous relationship with a 500 powervalve which used more oil then fuel

I'd still rate the '89 Exup as one of the greatest bikes ever I'd love to get my hands on a clean red, white and blue one
