Need 15 litres of the above - any recommendations (from "the trade") for who generally offers the "best price" ?
Many thanks.

Definitely not Dulux Decorator Centre!

15 ltrs would cost me £121.52 inc VAT from my local Buildbase.

I don't know about prices from other shops as I only use Buildbase because the travelling to other shops would cancel out any saving.

You could probably buy it cheaper online, but then you risk the hassle and time it would take to replace it if something is wrong with it.

Does it need to be Dulux? You can get Crown VM and Johnstones Covaplus VM mixed at around £25 a gallon?

Where and yes, unless it is possible to exactly match Dulux Gentle Gold 2 - 20yy 70/138 "in" other makers.

Just out of interest why do you say "a gallon"(4.55 L) rather than "5 Litres" - is it just tradition ?

Gallon is just a generic term for that size of can.

They are. Crown is £25.99 inc VAT and Jonnos is £23.99 inc VAT, from CDC and independent respectively :thumbright:

Dyna has got himself some good prices I think not just sausage rolls and bacon butties on Fridays. There is an offer now https://www.crowndecoratorcentre.co.uk/ ... index.html from Crown Decorators Centres for vinyl matt at £27.59.

Just sayin...

EDIT. Bummer, I think it finished today.

Independent retailers are not affiliated to a particular brand, and will typically stock various makes.

Yes, I've had Farrow & Ball colours made up in Leyland emulsion, similarly Dulux in Armstead. In all cases the match with the colour chart was indistinguishable - and anyway, what you see on a (1" square) colour chart doesn't always look the same when its on the walls, different lights/angles etc.
