Just saying on this forum for painting and decorating, that, that's a nice "binder" in Supermatt.

still dont get what your on about..........especially when you read the dulux trade email about the use of pva with their paints.

So you trying to say that PVA copolymer is the same as the PVA you get of the shelf? Are you sure about that? 100%

And what about PVA gloves and the PVA used to make plastic cartons and even the pharmaceutical business? Yes they are a derivative of Polyvinyl acetate (PVA or PVAc) but not the same product that you think.

I particularly like the pdf instructions on Dulux Trade Vinyl silk.

Sealing new or bare surfaces: Add up to 1 part clean water to 10 parts paint.

kernel,

theres 3 different things going on here, could you answer them please

1. non viynl is the same price or cheaper than viynl...do you accept this?

2. If theres a choice, would you choose viynl instead of non viynl to seal?

3. Why point out PVA content in paints, I just dont get the point your trying to make. I presume its to do with sealing walls with pva or adding pva to paint, but you havent said this. You just keep pointing out pva contents in paint Confused
