|
hi can anyone help. i am relocating my rad in my living room and need to drain my c/h system. i have know drain cock on any of the radiators and i cannot see any valve on the boiler itself to drain the system. all i can see is the valves to attach the filling loop to, thats only if a can get the thing drained. any help would be great.

Is there a spigot thing on any of the rad valves.

no none at all. am i right in saying there must be a drain valve on the boiler. i cant c how else i would drain the system, and i am also in a 2nd floor flat som theres now drain off outside like u get on some houses.

If there's really nothing on the radiator or pipework, then you'll need to turn both radiator valves off, and drain the radiator into a bowl.
Once it is empty you can attach a hose and open the valve.

I have emptyed the rad, cant attach hose to the valve to big. Its annoying but think i might have to be patient and drain it all through the valve into a bowl, cant c any other way. going to have one last look on all the rads and combi to c if av mist something.

tapomatic! then add a compression t and drain off after.
you could unscrew the tail out of the rad and use that on the end of your pipe?

Self cutting drain off is what I usually use or you could screw a washing machine hose to the valve

Cheers everyone, i went for the option of draining the system through the valve itself. took long time to drain but hey. next time hopefully it is easyer.
