Hi All,

I looking to cut and replace or relocate a upstairs radiator as well as the hot and cold basin taps in the bathroom.

Removing water from Central Heating

Switch off the condensing boiler, and off the mains water at the stop cock.
Then from the downstairs radiator connect a hose and drain the water using the valve.

1)Once thats done, do I simply open the filling loop to fill the central heating back up, and bleed all radiators, starting from the top?
2)Once thats done, switch the boiler back on?

3) Would working on the central heating effect anything on the megaflo? Can I still use the hot water from the taps, while the radiator is off?

Draining hot cold water to work on bathroom pipes

As for relocating hot and cold water pipes, I'm not sure what to do with the megaflo. From what I've read the water needs to be drained from the tank.

So I would off the power to the megaflo as well as off the power for the boiler?
Trun off the mains water Stop Cock.
Open all the taps?

Would that be enough to work on the upstairs hot and cold pipes?

6) What is the correct way to fill the tank?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

What a nice job :thumbright: could do with some lagging on the pipes though.

To re-fill manually open both the motorized valves under the boiler and turn the filler on, watch the pressure so it doesn't go to high.

You bleed the radiators starting with the lowest.

Thanks for the reply guys.

Do I have to close them manually aswell once its filled? Or would it do it itself.

I'll try and get another pic for you all.

You open them one at a time to let the air in as you drain down, starting with the highest.

Turn all the air vents off to avoid floods.

To refill, open them one at a time starting with the lowest.
