Hi all, this is my first post sorry if this has already been covered.

Need help, I live in a terrace house and I have a rising damp issue in my living room, I plan to do a DPC treatment myself but I don't know which product to use and which is best. I don't want to get ripped off, but it obviously needs to work!

I need to treat around 5m.

Regards

The damp proofing creams seem to be popular for DIY installation.

The hardest part os removing the plaster and then re-plastering after the wall has dried out!

If you have a damp problem, you need to identify the source of the damp before you start to treat the symptoms. What people say is rising damp is more often caused by a problem with a roof leak, drainage fault, plumbing leak, condensation (lack of ventilation) or even just higher ground outside
