as i said before
aqua panel cuts in exactly the same way as PB. just score it with a knife and break
now if it is quicker is a totally different point.
let me know if you lot are struggling with it! |
I am!
I can cut plasterboard just like you say, but I have been nearly 100% unsucessful in cutting aquapanel that way over any sort of length.
When I try the same thing with AP, the knife does not maintain a straight line even when I use it against a straight edge and the board does not snap. Usually end up taking a circular saw to it!
Now I am not a pro - obviously! - but I don't see it as "cuts in exactly the same way as PB" by any means _________________ If you have a son, DO NOT name him after a verb ....

there is a difference in cutting the same way and it being as easy.
obviously if you are cutting a 2" strip off a board it wont work.
but if you want to do anything bigger then i dont have a problem doing it.
just do a light cut first with a knife and straight edge then remove the straight edge, run the knife down the cut a bit harder and snap it.
i have said all along it isnt as easy as P/B i am just saying you can cut it with a knife.
its english guys (accepted not always in its truest form) |

I have a couple more pieces to cut later today and will follow your suggestion
The first couple of pieces I did last week was taking 900mm boards to a 860mm width and I was very wary trying to snap it in case it took a 'wrong turn', as it were.
Cheers Panlid

sorry hoovie i should have stated that it only works for larger strips.
i also use a cordless circular saw to do a little bit. |

Do multiple scores with a new stanley blade then snap. Then rasp off the rough edge |
