Just a quick update.

They have replied to my email but are extremely busy at the moment and so they have asked me to give them a call next week.

I'll post here when there is any news

Just got this email in reply to my donation, so others should get it in their inbox:

Quote:
Babs and I along with the Trustees of the Donna’s Dream House Charity would like to thank you for your support and very kind donation via Pay-Pal.

This as always will make such a difference to the work we do.

People like you are very special in the lives of others.

Without Donations like this our special children and their Families would not be able to have the limited quality time together to enjoy many happy memories of fun and laughter, while enjoying a fun filled, FREE holiday together, and when needed the very special support from the Snow Drop Bereavement Centre and also the new Teen Programme

Thank you again for your support of the Donna’s Dream House Charity.

God Bless

Kind regards

Len Curtis MBE

Chairman Trustees

May be a bit of good news:

Dream House fire: Two arrested

Also:
BBC News

Please form a queue to have a chat with them, if they are guilty. The queue ends at Preston at the moment.
Look for Chez and Razor, they may let you jump the queue.

Good news indeed Dave, if they did it and get 50 years each even better.

Actually a week in the public stocks would be good.

I have just been in touch with Len from Donna's dream house. They are in desperate need of an electrician for a couple of days ASAP. They also need a plumber for a day or so ASAP to move some soil stacks for when the conservatory is erected. A joiner is also required to replace a wooden canopy.
I'm sure that they will make use of any people that can do a bit of DIY and so if you are not a Joiner, Plumber or Electrician I am sure that a helping hand would still be appreciated.
If anyone can help for a couple of days please let me know ASAP and I'll get in touch with Len and let him know.
I'll try and be available to get there at the same time as any volunteers from here to offer an helping hand.

We all know that you would be the first to offer :thumbright:

I just got back from there a few minutes ago.

Tomplum went over and moved 2 soil pipes for them, so I went to watch him

I also gave Donna's dreamhouse a cheque as a donation from everyone on the site :thumbright:

Thanks to everyone that offered to go and help them out and a massive thank you to Tomplum for giving up his Saturday to drive to Blackpool and work outside in freezing rain for 3 hours :thank_you:

And thanks to all members who have donated directly

We can all be stressed out our head & under a lot of pressure. But, nothing can compare to what these poor kids go through, or what their poor parents go through. If we can help in some way to give just a wee bit of comfort, then it can make us happy.
