Book arrived today so I may spend a couple of weeks trying to read it all, then let the pleas for advice start coming in. We will be able to sort everything out.

Got mine today as well...thankyou UHM..So much better than the collins Diy manual that I got for my Birthday ...Which I think I mentioned earlier in the thread....can't be sure...

I see that WHSmiths are also doing a half price offer on the Reader's Digest DIY book.Had a quick look and it is as good if not better than the DIY Doctor book-£9.

The readers digest DIY book is an awesome book. I got bought one of these about 30 years ago and it was used as my main source of reference when doing any DIY. A family friend bought me the book when I was a kid, £9 is a real bargain :thumbright:
