Hi
We have recently buit a porch extension and we have a 1m2 section of old concrete slab that is a little damp. Too much work to consider breaking out for various reasons. I want to put down a DPM, and have been looking at various products - Synthaprufe was the first choice, but apparently that needs 50mm of screed over it and the depth we have available ranges from 30mm across to about 50mm, so was concerned that the screed won' hold/will break up. Is this really likely to be an issue (it is in a hallway)?

The other products were Ardex and F Ball Stop Gap - but they add up to a lot of ££ for such a small area, and are getting beyond my DIY know how. Primers, 2 part epoxy DPM's, compatible SLC's...

The other option is to simply lay a sheet 1200 gauge DPM down over the area and then have a floating floor.

Final floor covering will be laminate on underlay.

I'd appreciate any comments/advice

Thanks
