I work for a county council, we're always getting posters to put up in the staff room. This one caught my eye, so I thought I'd post it. I know of someone who works for an engineering firm, who was able to get a bike this way.
Details can be found via their link:
http://www.cyclescheme.co.uk/

With Cyclescheme, you can get a bike tax-free, which for most people means they save about 40% of the cost. You can get just about any bike you like from a local bike shop, and it's good for your health and the environment too.

Mrs Stoday cycles to work.

I'll bring this to her attention. Her bike was second hand when her father gave it to her. He died 30 years ago. I bet she says she doesn't want a new one.

Bet you use that room a lot Simon. :lol:

Does it double as the mess hut.

We used to have a chippy on a job in Trowbridge, would sit at the table in the mess hut reading the watch tower.

Out Loud :lol: :lol: ::b

Are the poor dears allowed to carry more than two bricks in the hod :cb

Does the dedicated listener have to be multi-lingual or doesn't it matter if he/she can't understand a word they're saying. :mrgreen:

Hod? They were banned years ago!Balfour Beatty do have a phone line you can call if your having problems, debt, relationship troubles, suicidal, stress at work (I'm stressed at work at all the crap I have to do that has nothing to do with building) Actually building the project comes second to all the other crap you have to do!

Mod 2,

Sorry, just thought in this age of recession, it may be of interest and help some poor soul get to work. I was obviously wrong! Won't bother again.

My wife has a bike via this scheme, it is very good and a lot cheaper than buying it yourself. :thumbright:
