Hello all. I'm hoping someone can offer some advice....

I'm looking to get a 19mm curtain pole up on a wooden batten that measures 316cm in length. The window itself measures 265cm in length. The drop for the window from the batten to the floor measures 212cm and I'll have to get made to measure curtains. My worry is a 19mm pole across a window measuring 265cm in length and a 212cm drop will be too weak and may be pulled down with the curtains in tow later on and therefore may need a 28mm curtain pole? The specs for the pole below state the pole is capable of holding ''Lightweight up to 6.5kg''

Why can't you buy a bracket and put it in the middle?

The 360cm pole is supplied in 2 parts including a joiner and 3 brackets. Will a centre bracket be enough to hold 265cm + gather length of curtains with a 212cm drop?
