My daughter is having surgery tomorrow morning for Crohn's Disease, she has lost so much weight, i can't believe the doctors have taken so long to diagnose it. She's down to 5st from 71/2st. They will be taking part of the lower intestine out this time and possibly/probably another op next year, I'm devastated for her as she's only 24 and could end up wearing a bag for the rest of her life, i know that it's better than the alternative but it's still hard to take in at the moment. Please keep her in your thoughts for a successful outcome. Thanks Woody/Kevin.
Oh and baby Ellie is doing great, Kelly is her mum.

As for the bag.....they are very discrete these days and not so much stigma about them

Cheers mate, she seems a bit more upbeat about it today and realises that if it comes to it, it's at least going to improve her quality of life.

Thoughts are with Kelly and the family -

Keep with the positives, quality of life for starters.

Have you been put in touch with any of the Crohn's Disease support groups? NACC are very good and come up straight away on a Google.
