hiya folks need help if u dont mind. It's my sister's house, just about every room in the 3 bed house has some small but some not so small cracks appearing ::b . House was built around 1860 and re-furbed about 2yrs ago but the seller(bodge it builder :boxing: ) not interested in returning calls. can post pics but not the clearest of shots.the problem's mostly around doors but a few go up walls & across ceiling .I'm wondering if maybe he should've used special plaster for old build but used modern? I'm a W&F Tiler but plaster basic jobs so should understand any reasons given but don't have all the experience to diagnose. thanks in advance peeps! :withstupid:

Need a bit more infi mate.

Are the walls rendered, hardwall or plasterboard.
Has it been skimmed and are the cracks in the p/board joins, ie no scrim tape? Or if by a door is the p/board fix properly?
Are the ceiling and walls lath and plasterer and it has been skimmed over?
Has anything blown?
Is there any movement in the building. It has been there for a while so i doubt it has just started to slide down the road!! :-)

Theres a 101 reasons things crack so post a little more info and hopefully we can all give you some ideas to what is going on :thumbright:
