Hi,

Recently had ceiling on landing plastered. The plastering was over old artex. Now I am really confused, there appears to be lots of copper rust looking spots on the plaster, which weren’t on the artex originally.

Any ideas, I have done the mist coat, still can see the copper spots, not sure 2 coats will get rid. Should I get some of that stain stuff from b and q and slap that on before putting my 2 coats of emulsion on, or could I go over the spots with a white oil based primer or is it something different entirely?

Thanks

Try a bit of stain block paint over the stains.
