Im in the middle of fitting a bathroom at the moment. I've do done all the plumbing and pipework, which is going to be buried below the surface. ie. in a channel in the brickwork and then buried under plaster.

Do I need to cover the copper pipework, bonding earth cable and ABS drain pipes in anything or can i just lay up a coat of bonding over and around it, then skim over with multi-finish. I've tought about making channels with some wood batton, and then squirting in some expanding foam.

I usually do the foam thing if I'm doing paid work on other peoples properties! but this is on my own place and I'll be selling it in a few months, so should I waste the money and time????

Cheers...and Merry Crimbo!!!!!

you need to protect the copper from effects of corrosion.

Especially contact with cement.

its fine to just cover the copper in duct tape
