We've just had a new kitchen fitted by Wickes, which we are generally really pleased with. However, because of the height of the units, the fitters couldn't fit any ducting for our extractor hood. We had venting previously, so it was purely down to fit.

The top of the cupboards are approximately 45mm from the ceiling, so even the low-profile ducting (which is around 60mm I think) won't fit, but I came across this at Screwfix: http://www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-flat-channel-pipe-225mm-pack-of-4/59715. We'll only need approx 1m so I'll sell the rest on, or keep it for a rainy day. With the relevant hood adaptor, will this be ok for ducting out, or will we need to cut the units to get low-profile trunking fitted?

The cooked hood in question is http://www.aeg.co.uk/Products/Cooking/Cooker_hoods/Designer_hoods/X69453MV0 and it cost us an arm & leg so it would be a shame to only use it in recirc mode.

Thanks for the help

Never used this stuff, but if you only need 1m, then toolstation sells them individually.

Saftlad, Ive used that same ducting from screwfix to get over a problem when extracting from my ensuite in my loft. Works great i would recommend it, Does get quite expensive for what it is though!

Ive connected it into a whole house ventilation system, the flow doesnt seem to be any less than that of the 100mm circular ducting that i have elsewhere.
