I am about to replace the old copper pipe which currently serves my central heating system with 15mm 'FloPlast' Barrier Pipe. My question is that the warning on the 'FloPlast' Pipe states that it is NOT WRAS approved. My thinking is that as the water that will flow around it is not going to carry or receive water from the public mains water supply (as it is a central heating system that it is being used on) then it will be okay to use it without falling foul of WRAS regulations?
(I haven't bought the pipe and fittings yet, thought that I would ask first)
Sorry if this question has been asked before, I have had a search but drew a blank.
Dave :)

As far as i know, only has to be WRAS approved with "potable" or drinking water
you should be fine on the heating circuit, just check the max temp the pipe can handle, i have read it gets very "soft" when its hot

Thanks warmadmax, that is the way I am looking at it, though thought that it is best to check these things out. The pipe is rated 12.0 Bar @ 20c, 4.0 Bar @ 85c so should be okay temperature wise. I also heard that it can get soft also, but looking at the manufacturers web site seems that as long as pipe is properly supported, then it should present no problems. (That is something I hope for as I have never used this type of pipe before).
