Many thanks

Hi Rob,

Best thing to do is get rid of them, if not, have them lined.

Many thanks for that, but we are looking for a quick cheap solution as we are putting the house on the market in the near future

Plumbers Gold - a bathroom sealant which can go onto wet surfaces.

Alternatively you could use some flat roof repair liquids as they can go onto a damp roof and seal it (allegedly)

Hi Rob,

Paint the insides of the guttering with black bitumen if your looking for a quick bodge fix.....but be warned, any decent Surveyor will spot it!

if this stuff will seal underwater in a pond, then it should seal year great big gutter stones mate!
Even so, take a towel up there with you, & a small wire brush to clean out all the shite first.

These are known as the Finlock gutter system from memory. Once they leak they are a real pain and rarely can they be properly fixed. There are a few firms around that specialise in ripping these out and make good with a new gutter system but it is pricey. Any surveyor will know all about Finlock so be prepared to get a revised offer on the house after survey.

If the concrete isn't moving, you might find success with GRP roof materials which include reinforcing mesh.

Many many thanks to everyone, I've got a few to have a go at now. I like the idea of the pond sealant, with the amount that the gutter is leaking this could be a great idea. Have to wait for the snow to disappear now so that I can find the gutter
Once again thanks to everyone
