Hi
Ive just moved home. The house requires a fair amount of work but im a pretty compitant handyman.
Ive worked around the constuction industry for a long time, but mainly as a site welder.
My problem? The house im now in has been built into a fair gradient. It has a large garage/workshop, partially underground. It has a suspended concrete beam ceiling, with a conc block infill & then a concrete screed over.
This ceiling also forms a patio/yard area which the back door opens onto. Although solid & sound its not waterproof. In wet periods the water drips heavily all over, to the point of running quite severly along the garage floor. It also puddles bad up top.
I need to find a way of firstly waterproofing it , but also if possible, to put a better fall on it or at least stop it puddling.
I dont want to have to re crete the top but im not against putting a screed down as long as its not to thick. But even just a good, hardwearing coat of something would be accepable.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Couchie
