The sockets open via the EARTH pin..... do your timers have earth pins?

I dont really know, i just bought a pack of three timers to save on the elec bill. its not just the timers, i cant plug in any type of appliance. what would be stopping the sockets opening? i really have no idea about this stuff.

if you cant plug anything into it, the socket has collapsed inside, do not try to use it, you need it changing.

don't try to plug in more than 2 heaters absolute max on the same circuit either. i wouldn't use more than 1 but you could just push to 2 of them.
