Hi all,

firstly I am a messy bugger and have managed to get multi-finish all over the frames of the upvc windows whilst skimming the reveals. A stitch in time yada yada I know, but now that its bone dry and seems to be hanging on for dear life how do I get it off? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Is there a product called knock down that would dissolve it or at least weaken it?

Many thanks folks.

Next time I will be more careful and clean up immediately!

I use my clubcard, works like a charm and doesn't scratch the upvc.

Just make shore you mastic tape the upvc before skimming no problems then.
Other wise use the sharp edge of your skimming trowel to clean of the access as you go along also most problems occur if you haven't removed all the sealant that all window fitters love to use on window reveals.
