Hello everyone

I've been putting a curtain pole fixing direct to the plaster/brick on a 1930's house. The problem is that the existing hole for one rawlplug has been drilled so badly that no expansion fixing will hold. All the other 5 fixings are fine. I've been looking at using a chemical fixing as there would be no expansion forces in the hole, but this normally means that I'd have to put a stud into the wall first, then put the curtain pole bracket onto the stud with a nut/washer. This would work, but would look a bit 'clumsy'.

I've heard that Fischer do 'Fill and Fix', which I think means you can drive a screw straight into the chemical in the hole.

Has anyone used this or similar?

Any advice or help would be appreciated.

I have in the past filled the hole with chemical resin, allow it to go off, then redrill and plug/screw as normal.
No problems.
