I've recently purchased a new desk for my pc and gaming setup, which includes a pedestal/filing cabinet.

For the sake of security i'd like my 3 wireless headsets to "live" and be charged while locked in the filing cabinet.

2 of the headsets are for consoles so the charging base units are only charged using usb-microUsb.

The PC headsets base unit/charging station is plugged into the mains, with a cable that in no thicker than a usb.

None of the 3 headsets seem to heat up while charging, as I assume they are all low power, so would it be safe to have all 3 headsets and charging/docking stations in the filing cabinet draw while charging for the sake of keeping them secure?

Also, having the base units in the filing cabinets (cabinet is wood), will that effect the wireless signal when in use? or as its all within about 1-2m, will it not make a difference?

Many Thanks.

It'll be fun me to charge them in there. To your second question There is a chance that you may get a reduced wireless signal

The signal depends on many factors, it would take too long and too many questions / answers to calculate it, so the best thing is......Try it and see.

Also do make sure that when the drawer is shut there is room for the cables to exit, even if that means cutting a suitable hole.

Take it easy, a forum is only a collection of opinions. Above, are mine.

No such thing as "Thou shalt put this wire here, Thou shalt put that wire there" .............Take a picture BEFORE you do the job.
