I'm wanting to mark out the path for my media socket (behind TV) and also a separate power socket for the mounted TV on the wall. I'm I right to get the cables to go downwards and then cover our best plug etc. I then cap the cables, and mortar render the walls (or binding plaster), or pva bond and then render plaster?

Make sure mains voltage cables are in a separate capping to any audio, visual, or data cables.
